A new studded tyre for cars. The studs are arranged in 24 alignment rows across the full tread width; dense wavy sipes and a directional V-pattern support grip between the studs as well.
IceDragon is Landsail's new studded tyre for Nordic winters. Its key idea is a widely distributed stud layout: the studs form 24 separate alignment rows in the tread, extending from the centre to the shoulder areas. This does not mean 24 studs, but 24 different contact lines.
The metal stud creates a grip point on ice, the sipes add biting edges on compacted snow, and directional channels lead water, slush and loose snow away. According to Rehvid Pluss, IceDragon continues the direction of the earlier ice STAR iS33, but is a model with a new tread pattern.
The EU tyre label does not apply to studded tyres. Sizes and local availability will be added once confirmed by the importer.
