PolarDragon and PolarDragon VAN: new European-type winter tyres
Landsail's European range has been joined by the PolarDragon winter tyre for cars and PolarDragon VAN for vans. Both carry the 3PMSF symbol.

Two new winter tyres have been published on Landsail's European brand website: PolarDragon for cars and PolarDragon VAN for vans. According to the EPREL database, the market launch date for PolarDragon sizes is 1 July 2026.
How they differ
- PolarDragon – silica-rich compound, V-shaped tread with wide grooves and a rough 3D surface for traction on snow.
- PolarDragon VAN – wide central channel and zigzag lateral grooves that channel away snow and water; C-marked van tyre.
Both models carry the 3PMSF snow symbol in EPREL. According to EPREL data, they do not carry the ice grip symbol.
PolarDragon or PolarDragon Soft?
The names are similar, but these are different models. PolarDragon is a European-type winter tyre. If you often drive on icy roads and do not want a studded tyre, the Nordic friction tyre PolarDragon Soft, which additionally carries the ice grip symbol, is a better fit.
